meetNKY and BLDG to Host World-Renowned Artist Maya Hayuk for an Artist Talk at The Carnegie

World-renowned artist Maya Hayuk will be visiting our own Covington, Ky. September 23-30th installing a large mural on the Northern Kentucky Convention Center’s western facing wall.
Maya Hayuk is an internationally renowned Ukrainian-American artist and activist born and raised in Baltimore, MD. with an independent studio practice in Brooklyn, NY. Hayuk is known for her massive, iconic, abstract murals that transform public spaces with their dynamic energy and immersive visual experience, fostering a sense of community and wonder. Her art has been exhibited in prestigious museums, institutions, galleries and on architecture worldwide, including the Bowery Wall, NYC, back in 2014. Artist Talk with Maya Hayuk at The Carnegie

Attend an evening of art, inspiration, sharing, and discussion with celebrated world-class artist, Maya Hayuk. The event will take place on September 30th from 6:30-7:30 at The Carnegie, 1028 Scott St. in Covington, KY. Small food bites and bar will be offered.


The evening will begin with Julie Kirkpatrick, President and CEO of meetNKY, sharing details about the NKY Convention Center mural project and introducing the artist, Maya Hayuk.
Following the introduction, Maya Hayuk will discuss her history, inspirations, and art, and then open up for a community discussion and Q&A session. The mural project is funded by meetNKY, the Northern Kentucky Visitors Bureau.
